[[GE1]] Jackson: Groveheart Exploration
The city streets around Jackson were crowded and busy, which is very much expected considering he was currently in Groveheart city. It was the center for scientific development, which had been rapidly expanding since the outbreak. Many people also preferred the environment the city provided with its greenery.
Jackson didn’t call the city home, but he had decided to visit to learn more about some of the recent scientific developments. A lot had changed since the outbreak. He knew first hand the impact of the Nera considering it had transformed his starter pokemon. His starter was walking beside him, a noctyena that had a canine body with a thick fluffy, blue coat and a yellow crest on his forehead.
The trainer had been to the city a few times in the past, but this time wanted to be sure to explore new areas that highlighted current research. The first thing that came to his mind to check out was the museum. He figured if any public building had up to date information about the current research it surely did. Jackson also knew the museum worked closely with Doctor Blackthorn, the leading expert on Nera.
The building was constructed out of beautiful, white marble with large columns. Plants also grew around the column along with there being lots of flower beds around the plaza. Jackson was glad to see that the museum didn’t seem too busy, although there were certainly a good amount of people who wanted to walk through the museum.
As he entered he noticed some security officers standing near the doorway. Jackson was glad that he had removed the metal wolf mask he normally wore, figuring it would draw too much attention.
The first thing he saw as he entered was a large replica of Arceus. He could see various plaques in front of it that explained the significance, but the trainer wasn’t all that interested in legends. At least for now he was focused on Nera. His noctyena, Atlas, was looking at the statue with intrigue.
As Jackson picked up a nearby paper map he saw that there was a section called “Scientific Discovery”. He figured this would be the perfect place to start. The trainer motioned for Atlas to follow him as he folded up the map and headed to that section. Luckily it was clearly labeled and quite easy for him to find.
As he entered the trainer saw some early prototypes of current, important technology. Some of it was more focused on anti-fog measures, such as early designs for the lamp beacons, measuring spikes, and mist ball. On the other side of the room there were prototypes for nera jars and suppression rings.
Jackson read over the information, which gave some useful information about how the technology was developed after the growing fog and Nera outbreak. Atlas had glanced at some of the technology but was mostly uninterested as he scratched at his ear.
The trainer then moved onto the next room, which had more information on both human and pokemon fusions. There were some pictures and statues of fusions, showing how species and pokemon were being changed. Filled elemental Nera and DNA jars were also on display behind thick glass.
Atlas walked up to the pokemon statues, tilting his head as he looked them over. Jackson chuckled as he focused on reading all the information in the room, trying to get a better understanding about Nera. Although there was a lot of helpful information, he could tell there was still so much that wasn’t really known about Nera. He supposed that made sense since he knew Professor Blackthorn had been recruiting trainers to help him with field research.
Once he exited that room the technology began to become more general. Showing the history of various pokeballs, TMs, and PC boxes that allowed for pokemon storage. The next room showed how fossils could be used to bring Pokemon back to life. Jackson wasn’t as interested in this information, and as such moved pretty quickly through it. As he exited the technology section he saw that there were still a lot more rooms. It ranged from topics on fossils, evolution, and human history. The trainer felt he had achieved his purpose, and as such briskly began to leave the exam.
The sky was beginning to set as Jackson and Atlas exited the building. The trainer figured he would have to stay the night in the city, but he didn’t really mind this. He felt satisfied that he had been able to achieve his goal on learning more information about Nera.
