Lugia Encounter
Jackson could hear the sound of waves gently hitting the sandy beach as he walked. He was currently in Rivertide with his partner pokemon, Atlas, who was a noctyena. The trainer had heard rumors about another legendary pokemon having some sightings as of lately. This wasn’t too shocking considering the strange happenings the fog had been causing, but he was still intrigued about this legendary. He had heard that it seemed to be spotted more frequently by water, so he thought Rivertide would be the best place to start.
He grumbled to himself as he walked, having some trouble walking across the sand with his prosthetic leg. As he looked over the water, he thought it might be better to explore there instead of on the beach. Not only would it solve his difficulty walking on the sand but he might have a better chance of finding the legendary.
Jackson took out a pokeball and threw it in front of him and a dunlesie appeared in the water. The trainer got on the water pokemon’s back with Atlas hopping behind him. Being a mix between a donphan and a laplesie the pokemon had stubby legs that weren't exactly as practical for swimming as a lapras. Still, it was better than Jackson attempting to swim. He certainly wouldn’t make it very far.
Soon enough they were able to ride the waves deeper out into the water. Jackson’s eyes were glued to the sky since he had heard the legendary could fly. Atlas was staring down at the blue water as he saw water pokemon swim by.
The laplesie made a sound as she spotted something on the horizon. Jackson saw a white and blue pokemon in the distance. Her sheer size made him sure that it had to be a legendary, especially since her appearance matched the rumors.
Although the trainer had heard the pokemon was friendly, he was still afraid to get too close. Especially since he thought it might spook the pokemon. He watched as she dove into the water, swimming around the surface before taking flight into the sky. Atlas was also staring at the pokemon, his ears perked up with curiosity.
After observing the pokemon for a bit of time Jackson decided they should get closer, which he asked the laplesie to do. As they got closer he could get a better look at the pokemon’s features. She had large, smooth, featherless wings and blue spikes stuck up on her back and surrounded her eyes.
As they got closer the pokemon seemed to notice them. She approached curiously, still staying some distance away. Jackson told his pokemon to stop swimming forward, not wanting to get too close now that she had spotted them. For a few moments they seemed to study each other before the legendary pokemon began to fly away. Although she didn’t seem too frightened, Jackson got the feeling that the pokemon wanted to be left alone currently. Regardless he was happy to have an encounter with the legendary pokemon.
