Pidgey Tracking

Amber was walking alongside another trainer named Kavi as they walked over the grassy fields near Rivertide city. Being that Amber was a scientist she had met the other trainer through his family’s connections to her laboratory. A little bit ahead of them walked their pokemon. Amber had a shiny sanyatto while Kavi had a black and white colored servine/salazzle fusion.

“Hopefully we’ll find something interesting to catch.” Kavi said, brushing his long white hair to the side. 

“There’s so many pokemon around here, we’ll definitely find something.” The other trainer replied. 

Amber was correct that there were a lot of pokemon in the surrounding areas. With it being mid-day there were plenty of pokemon enjoying the sunny weather. However, she knew Kavi was looking to catch a flying type pokemon so they continued on.

“Up ahead, a pidgey.” Amber whispered to Kavi as she spotted the brown and tan pokemon up ahead. It was hopping around and pecking at the ground as it found little bits of food.

“Let’s try to sneak up on it.” Kavi replied with a nod. The two trainers moved forward carefully, their pokemon following their movements quietly. There would certainly be an advantage if they were able to catch the pidgey by surprise.

Once they were close enough Kavi whispered to his pokemon, named Sizzle, and pointed at the pidgey. The servine/salazzle fusion moved forward rapidly, slamming her body into the bird pokemon. The pidgey let out a startled cry and flapped its wings as it stumbled.

“Lumi, hit it with a thunderbolt!” Amber called out to her shiny sanyatto. Given the advantage of her electric type move she didn’t see the pidgey standing a chance against the pidgey. As Lumi followed her trainer’s command she concentrated for a moment, taking an attack stance. Within a few seconds a bolt of lighting appeared that struck the pidgey.

The bird let out another cry but refused to give up just yet as it used quick attack, rushing forward and colliding with Lumi. While the pidgey was focused on her Kavi yelled out an instruction to Sizzle.

“Sizzle use fire fang!” He shouted. The fusion pokemon was able to take advantage of the pidgey’s focus being on Lumi as she made her attack.  She raced forward and clamped her jaw around the pidgey’s wing, her teeth creating a small burst of flame.

This move was enough to knock out the pidgey. It fell backwards, laying still on the ground. Kavi threw out a pokeball which hit the unconscious pokemon. The pidgey disappeared as the red and white ball hit the ground. It shook a few times before clicking.

“Well that was easy.” Kavi said as he picked up the pokeball with his newly caught pidgey inside.

“It helped that our pokemon made a good team.” Amber added and Kavi nodded in agreement. The two pokemon were chasing each other through the grass playfully now that they had completed their task.

“I guess we’re good for now, right?” The scientist asked as she turned towards Kavi.

“Yeah I was really only after a flying type pokemon for today.” He agreed before continuing on. “But… if you’re down to do some more walking I have a delivery I need to complete.”

“What kind of delivery?” Amber asked.

“An egg supposedly.” Kavi answered with a shrug. “I still need to go pick it up in Grovehart and then take it to Ethermoor.” He explained.

“Yeah sure, I don’t have anything else I need to do today.” Amber said. With that the two trainers began to head towards Maplebrush Village, which had the closest train station. They had spent around an hour walking by the time they reached the village. It was relatively small, especially compared to the cities. It was also around miles of grassy fields and rolling hills.

The two waited for a train to pull into the station and then boarded it, their pokemon following them. They then sat down, knowing with the speed of the train it wouldn’t take long for them to arrive in Grovehart. Their pokemon did take this opportunity to get some rest in as Lumi fell asleep at her trainer’s feet and Sizzle fell asleep on her trainer’s lap.
