[[DNA-T]] Eevee Tracking

Amber could hear the nearby sounds of pokemon as she walked, from the rustling of plants to creaking branches. The trainer was currently in the mysterious area known as Sylvangloam with colorful grass and giant mushrooms. Sylvangloam’s landscape was also constantly shifting and changing, although no one knew why. Professor Blackthorn had begun to research more into it but had yet to reach a major breakthrough. Being a scientist herself, Amber found the area intriguing and sometimes walked around to see what was going on.

Beside the trainer walked her partner pokemon, Lumi, a shiny blue sanyatto. The pokemon wore a necklace around her neck with an oval stone and mini light beacons. Lumi was currently trotting next to her trainer, looking around curiously. The pokemon was always down for an adventure.

As they walked the pair passed lots of pokemon. Some of them fled at the sight of the trainer while others seemed more curious or completely ignored them. So far Amber hadn’t really seen any pokemon she would want to catch. That was until she saw a new pokemon up ahead.

Amber recognized an eevee up ahead, finding the creature adorable. Their multiple evolutions also made the pokemon rather fascinating when it came to research. As she got closer she could see that the pokemon was eating some berries that had fallen on the ground. It didn’t seem too aware of its surroundings as it happily munched away.

The trainer made a hand signal to Lumi in order to communicate that they needed to proceed quietly. The sanyatto’s rounded ears perked up as she got into a stalking position. Amber was also crouched down as she slowly began to move forward towards the eevee.

Moving through the grass quietly was challenging at times, especially since they had to sometimes avoid branches or other plants scattered across the landscape. Amber wanted to try and catch the pokemon without battling. Her best chance at that was to catch the eevee off guard.

The trainer paused once she felt close enough to the eevee. Lumi stopped next to her, watching the wild pokemon. Amber carefully and quietly took out a pokeball. She held it in her hand for a few moments as she watched the eevee, trying to plan out her throw and make sure the eevee wouldn’t move.

Amber threw the pokeball forward, sending it flying through the air straight towards the wild pokemon. The eevee let out a surprised squeak as it was hit with the red and white colored ball. The pokemon disappeared into the ball which then hit the ground. Amber held her breath as the bell shook a few times before finally making a clicking sound. Once the trainer heard the click she knew that she had successfully captured the pokemon.

“Yes!” Amber said as she rushed forward towards the pokeball with Lumi following behind her. The trainer picked up the pokeball and then tossed it onto the ground. The brown and tan eevee appeared, its long ears twitching and wide eyes looking around curiously.

“Hi!” The trainer said as she reached out to the pokemon. For a moment the eevee shied away as it looked between Amber and Lumi. It then sniffed at Amber's hand. The trainer gave the eevee a small scratch and pet.

Amber decided to keep the new pokemon out of its pokeball for the time being so they could bond more. She made her way back towards the nearest train station in Amberfield town, crossing over the waters surrounding Sylvangloam as she did so. 

The trainer boarded the bullet train once it arrived with Lumi and the new eevee following. The pokemon was taking in all the sights as she saw the inside of a train for the first time. The eevee had also never seen so many people in one place before. Amber picked up the pokemon to make sure no one stepped on or tripped over it before sitting down in the train care.

The eevee looked out the window as the train quickly moved over the landscape as it headed towards Grovehart. They passed towering buildings and plant life as the neared the station on the other side of the station before coming to a stop. “This is gonna be your new home.” Amber said to the eevee as the doors slid open.
